Click into the test area above the moment it prompts you, and the tool records the millisecond gap between the signal and your click. Run it several times and average the results — that average is your mouse input lag. For the cleanest reading, close background apps, plug the mouse into a rear USB port, and set your monitor to its highest refresh rate.

How do I test Bluetooth mouse delay?

Run the same latency test with your Bluetooth mouse, then repeat it with the mouse connected by its 2.4 GHz USB dongle or a cable. Bluetooth almost always shows higher, less consistent latency than a dongle or wire. If the delay bothers you in games, switch to the 2.4 GHz receiver — it is faster and more stable than Bluetooth.
