What is a mouse click counter?

A mouse click counter simply counts how many times you click, broken down by button — left, right, middle, back and forward — with no timer and no goal. It answers the plain question "how many times have I clicked my mouse?" without turning it into a speed test.

That makes it different from a CPS (clicks-per-second) test, which measures clicks inside a fixed window. Use this counter to tally clicks for tasks, count repetitions, check that every button registers, or just see a running total. When you want to measure speed instead, switch to the Click Speed Test.

Everything runs in your browser. There's nothing to download, no account, and the count resets whenever you press Reset.

How to check how many clicks your mouse has registered

  1. Click anywhere inside the counter box above with any mouse button.
  2. Each button — left, right, middle, back, forward — gets its own running count, plus a combined total.
  3. Scroll inside the box to count scroll-wheel notches (up and down separately).
  4. Press Reset to set every counter back to zero and start a fresh count.

This is a per-session, in-browser count — it starts at zero each visit. To count clicks across your whole system over time (lifetime clicks), you'd need a desktop click-counter app for Windows or macOS; this online tool focuses on quick, private, on-page counting.

Mouse Click Counter FAQ

How do I check how many clicks my mouse has?

Click inside the counter box and it tallies every press by button plus a total. That gives you this session's count. If you mean the mouse switch's lifetime click count (rated in millions of clicks), that isn't readable from the browser — it's a manufacturer durability rating, not a stored number.

Is this a clicks-per-second (CPS) counter?

No — this counter has no timer, it just counts clicks until you reset. To measure clicks per second or per minute, use our Click Speed Test, which runs timed 5s/10s/30s/60s modes.

Does it count right, middle and side-button clicks?

Yes. Left, right, middle (scroll-wheel click), and the back/forward side buttons each get their own counter, so you can verify every button registers.

Can I count clicks per minute?

This tool shows a live total with no clock. For a per-minute or per-second rate, use the Click Speed Test; for counting repetitions or tallies at your own pace, this counter is the simpler choice.

Is there a mouse click counter for Windows?

Yes, desktop apps exist that count clicks system-wide and even track lifetime totals. This page is the no-install, browser-based alternative — private, instant, and cross-platform.
